The beginnings...
In the summer of 2009 Marie Johanne, Ralph and Ed started to make music together. They liked their sound. So did their friends. From then on they decided to set their sights to perform as a jazz combo. Each of them has extensive experience in public solo and group performance. All three are classically schooled: Ralph has a wide ranging knowledge of jazz idioms, having attended Humber College and York University, and plays in various jazz groups in the Simcoe County as well as in the North York and Huronia Symphony Orchestras; Marie Johanne, a classical vocalist, has sung with Still Motion, Dave Hadfield and Friends, the New Tecumseth Choir as well as with the vocal quartet Lafialdo. Edward plays viola in the Huronia Symphony Orchestra and has acted as their general manager. He also teaches music at the Huronia Arts Academy, has done solo and group work with several ensembles in the Barrie area.
